Her father's battle with pancreatic cancer opened her eyes to the world of healthcare and its impact on patients and their families. Katie realized she wanted to make a difference in the lives of others, much like the nurses and caregivers who had made a profound impact on her family during her father's illness.

When South Boston Health and Rehab faced a fire incident, the 1st Care At Home team, including field clinicians, marketers, and office staff, united swiftly to assist and provide care to patients who were transported to First Baptist Church. This experience exemplified the sense of community and teamwork that defines 1st Care At Home.

Katie encourages patients and their families not to hesitate when they need assistance at home. Whether it's medication management or education on disease processes, seeking help is vital for understanding one's health and conditions to prevent hospitalization or worsening of health.

Outside of work, Katie treasures moments spent with her husband and their three children. Whether it's a day on the farm or a simple shopping trip, family time is of utmost importance.
